The sims 4 is simply ea games dancing and pooping on people's money, and yet people keep throwing it at them. All of its predecessors were revolutionnary. ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think I'm making any euphemism by saying the sims 4 is the worst and least detailed game of them all, considering their release dates. We ended up having an empty but good looking game that barely has more gameplay than the sims 2, well, I'm not even sure we can consider it better, taking in account the amount of details the sims 2 had as opposed to the sims 4. Better graphics, better gameplay, better creativity. The sims 4 was supposed to be built upon what came before, but better. The sims 2's gameplay was way more researched. It looks good, that's for sure, but that's about it. The sims 4 looks like a fancy jewel box with nothing inside of it. Just cause we're lazy af, and still need more money although we're one of the richest game companies, but who cares, most people are still gonna say the sims 4 is the best sim game ever and spend ridiculous amounts of money to get the latest expansions packs and comfort them in their lazy mindset. Freedom who ? Creativity who ? Naaaaaaah ! Oh and honey, if you'd like to be a celebrity you'll now have to spend some tiny 40more bucks. It also gave us appartements that you can't build nor move. Late night gave us bowling, dance skills, the celebrity system, actual cities. The sims 3 added completely new themes like travelling to the future, having new fancy occults etc The closest sims games that were somewhat close to competing with island paradise were other addons of the sims 3 or 2 for their time, like the sims 3 pets, which actually took the game up a notch by adding horses. You cannot compare the amount of thought, talent and creativity that went into the sims 3 island paradise to the actual poop that the sims 4 island living is. House boats ? Water skiing ? Kraken ? Boats overall ? Life guard being a playable job ?. A rabbit hole. That relies on athletic skills. They didn't even bring back the diving skill. That's straight out pathetic. And island paradise actually came with one of the most innovative features of the sims : actual diving, under water, and by that I mean CONTROLLING your sims under water. We got a HUGE world, Isla Paradiso, which was indeed laggy but was on a whole other level than Sulani, it had a shit ton of lots, hidden islands, amongst the most beautiful aesthetics of the whole sims franchise. This expansion pack is a spiritual successor to “The Sims 2: Apartment Life” and “The Sims 3: Late Night.” It also takes some elements from “The Sims 2: Nightlife,” “The Sims 3: World Adventures,” “The Sims 3: Showtime,” and “The Sims 3: Seasons.” Bubbling Upīubbling up on this list of the best expansion packs for “The Sims 4” – not the best, unlike the items above, but for sure, still good finds – are “Horse Ranch,” “Cats & Dogs,” “Snowy Escape,” “Get Together,” “Get Famous,” “High School Years,” and “Get To Work.I'm most likely going to get hella downvoted but things have to be said, and they've probably already been but EA games needs to wake the hell up.įirst off, we could probably mention that in the sims 3, beaches were included in the BASE GAME, and you could swim in it thanks to a free patch, which came out at the same time as seasons. If you are irked about cottage and countryside living and want to focus your energies within the city, then the “City Living” expansion pack for “The Sims 4” is for you.Īre you guessing it has posh penthouses? You are guessing it right! “City Living” introduces apartments and penthouses, stereotypical elements in cities, alongside city festivals in the new city world of San Myshuno. “Discover University” is also historic as it is the first university-themed pack that lets your Sims attend university off-campus and allows non-students to visit and live on the campus. There’s a new world to find yourself - or your Sims - into, and this is at Britechester, home to two rival campuses (just like the university wars in the real world), the University of Britechester and Foxbury Institute.Īside from those, there are also additional features like roommates, education, law, and Engineering careers, as well as toilet stalls and bicycles. ![]() Released in November 2019 on PC and the following month on consoles, “Discover University” re-introduces and amplifies the college experience in “The Sims 4,” not to mention the return of the Servo life state. School elements are found in “The Sims 4” without an expansion pack, but you will be able to enjoy the gifts of academics even more when you have the “Discover University” expansion pack. Your Sims can also explore a new urban world called San Sequoia, which takes inspiration from the touristy San Francisco Bay Area. While a “The Sims 4” gameplay has the growing up staff and whatnot, this expansion pack focuses on family, childhood, and intergenerational activities.
